Anime Vanguards: Wrathful Assault Getting Started in Anime Vanguards

Lobby, story, summons, codes, and a clean early team plan after Wrath's End.

Getting Started

Anime Vanguards is a Roblox anime tower defense game. The current Wrathful Assault season (Wrath’s End, September 2026) adds a Battlepass Exclusive, a Sin-based Wrath Event, and new modes, but your first hour still decides whether you waste gems or build a foundation. This guide is the day-one path: learn the lobby, clear story stages, summon with intent, redeem codes, field an early team, and understand traits before you reroll.

Lobby UI and what to click first

After you load in, treat the lobby as a hub, not a museum. Find these systems early:

  • Areas / Stages — story progression, the main early gold and gem pipeline.
  • Summons — banners for units; do not empty your gems on day one without a plan.
  • Inventory / Units — inspect rarities, elements, placement limits, and passives.
  • Battlepass — the current season track that ends at Wrath (Assault) on Tier 50.
  • Codes / Settings — redeem promos; confirm graphics and keybinds before long grinds.
  • Events — Wrath Event, Warfront / Wartorn missions, Arcade dailies, and limited modes.
  • Upgrades / Mandra — Trait Rerolls live near the evolve flow; do not spend them blind.

Star important Areas so they pin to the top of your list. If the game offers custom spot saves, mark Summons, Battlepass, and the Wrath Event NPC so you stop jogging across the map every session.

Story stages: your first economy

Story stages teach placement, pathing, and upgrade timing while paying gold and gems. Push as far as you can with starter and early banner units before you obsess over Secrets. Early clears unlock later menus and make daily missions less painful. When a stage stalls, add a farm unit, fix placement so you cover the choke, and upgrade economy before glass-cannon DPS.

Co-op exists across several modes. Use it when you need clears, but learn solo fundamentals so you are not carried forever. Watch enemy speed, shield enemies, and DoT interactions; later Wrath (Assault) kits lean into Despair, Destruction, shield break, and amplified damage into enemies already taking damage over time.

Summon basics without burning the account

Summons are exciting and expensive. Rules that save accounts:

  1. Redeem Codes before major pulls so Trait Rerolls and gems land first.
  2. Read the banner description — seasonal Exclusive units like Wrath (Assault) come from Battlepass, not random luck.
  3. Prefer completing pity or event currencies when a banner is clearly limited.
  4. Keep a reserve of gems for emergency banners instead of zeroing the balance on day one.
  5. After a pull, check element tags and categories (Evils, Dragon Sphere, and so on) before you invent a team fantasy.

If you want the season Exclusive, read How to Get Wrath (Assault) and treat Battlepass XP as a daily job. Premium unlocks the shiny Wrath copy; Cosmetic Pass unlocks the skin track. Free track still awards the base unit at Tier 50.

Codes on day one

Codes are the fastest free injection of Trait Rerolls, Memoria Shards, and Gems. Open the Codes Hub, redeem every working string, and note level gates (many Wrath’s End codes need level 10 or 30). Revisit after updates. Never buy Trait Rerolls with Robux before you empty free codes.

Early team plan

A beginner team needs three jobs: economy, wave clear, and boss pressure. You will not own the full September meta on day one. Aim for:

  • One farm or gold-leaning unit so upgrades arrive on time.
  • One reliable AoE or path-control unit for trash waves.
  • One single-target or burst unit for bosses.
  • Flex slots for whatever strong unit the banner or events give you.

As you climb, compare your roster to the Tier List Hub. Meta names after Wrath’s End include Apathetic Savior (Door), Holy Deceiver (Dark), Super Vogito, Rogita (Super 4), Divalo, The Falcon, Wrath (Assault), and Rebel Fighter. You do not need all of them to clear early story. You do need to stop investing heavy Trait Rerolls into units you will bench in a week.

If you pull Evils-tagged units, keep them. Wrath (Assault) is an Exclusive Curse buffer built to amplify Evils teams with elemental diversity bonuses. Details live on Wrath (Assault) and Evils Teams.

Traits intro (do not skip)

Traits are permanent modifiers applied at Mandra using Trait Reroll currency. Highlights you will hear constantly:

  • Monarch — huge damage, placement limited to one copy; best on low-placement carries.
  • Ethereal — strong damage and SPA with no Monarch placement tax; often better on 3+ placement units.
  • Deadeye — crit rate and crit damage for kits that scale with crits.
  • Solar — range-heavy hybrid for AoE and lane coverage.
  • Blitz — SPA reduction for attack-speed scalers.
  • Fortune — farm economy trait; put this on gold units, not your main DPS.
  • Marksman — range-focused mid tier when you need coverage.

Full odds, pity, and spend order are in Traits and Rerolls. Beginners should bank rerolls from codes and battlepass, then spend on one or two keepers — not every Rare.

Parallel systems to unlock while you learn

  • Wrath Event — 15 waves on Shining Castle, pick a Sin, earn Wrath Coins; see Wrath Event.
  • Warfront / Wartorn — strong Battlepass XP and gem missions; covered in the Wrath unlock and Gem Farming pages.
  • Memoria — unit-specific damage pieces; Tier 25 on the current pass awards A Beast Plays for Wrath.
  • Familiars — shop familiars in the Wrath Event cost 1,000 Wrath Coins each; buy for units you actually play.

First-session checklist

  1. Finish the tutorial prompts without skipping tooltips.
  2. Redeem all codes on Codes.
  3. Clear as many story stages as your starter team allows.
  4. Open Battlepass and note your Tier 50 distance.
  5. Summon only with leftover gems after you set a reserve.
  6. Skim Tier List so you know which pulls are keepers.
  7. Bookmark Gem Farming and Tools for daily loops.

Common day-one mistakes

  • Spending Trait Rerolls on temporary units.
  • Ignoring Battlepass XP while chasing banners.
  • Entering Wrath Event Hard without learning Sin rules.
  • Building six DPS and zero economy.
  • Assuming Wrath (Assault) drops from summons.

Play the long game: codes, story, pass XP, then targeted summons. When you are ready for the Exclusive, move to How to Get Wrath (Assault). When you want Sin mastery, open Wrath Event. For community links and the official Discord, use the Links Hub.
