Anime Vanguards: Wrathful Assault Units & Players Hub

How to read unit kits, elements, Evils, and Exclusive pages on this wiki.

Players Hub

The Players Hub is the roster wing of the Anime Vanguards: Wrathful Assault wiki. Tier lists tell you who is strong. This section explains how kits work, what elements and tags mean, why Evils matters after Wrath’s End, and how to evaluate Exclusive units before you spend a season grinding them.

Child pages currently spotlight:

  • Wrath (Assault) — full Exclusive kit, Mind Control, Power of Friends, memoria, team notes
  • Evils Teams — building elemental diversity, Despair amp, Wrath-centered comps

For rankings, use Tier List, DPS Units, and Support Units. For unlock routes, use How to Get Wrath (Assault).

How to read a unit page

Every serious unit page on this wiki aims to answer the same questions:

  1. Role — DPS, support, farm, hybrid?
  2. Element — Fire, Holy, Curse, Dark, and others that feed diversity bonuses.
  3. Tags / categories — Evils, Dragon Sphere, Crimson Moon, Pirates, and more.
  4. Obtainment — banner, dungeon floor, Worldlines, Battlepass Exclusive, shop.
  5. Placement rules — copies allowed, free place conditions, path summons.
  6. Passives and actives — what actually changes a clear timer.
  7. Downsides — Mind Control style taxes, slot burns, expensive upgrades.
  8. Synergies — which partners and memoria unlock the kit.
  9. Trait advice — Monarch vs Ethereal vs Deadeye realism.
  10. When to skip — honest “do not build yet” notes for mismatched accounts.

If a page is missing one of those blocks, treat the unit as under-documented and verify in-game tooltips before heavy Trait Reroll spends (Traits and Rerolls).

Elements and why they matter now

Elements always mattered for matchups and modifiers. After Wrath (Assault), elemental diversity on your unit bar also feeds Evils damage bonuses. That means a mono-element meme team can lose a huge chunk of Wrath’s designed power. When you theorycraft, count unique elements the same way you count DPS slots.

Team Battle and other modifier modes can ban elements or multiply element damage. Keep flexible copies so one ban does not delete your entire identity.

Evils tag primer

Evils is a unit category/tag. Wrath (Assault) buffs Evils hard, places free when an Evils ally exists, mirrors Evils upgrades, and multiplies Evils actives through The Power of Friends. Partners such as Iscanur (Pride) are natural cores. Full recipes live on Evils Teams.

If your box has zero Evils units, you can still claim Wrath from the pass — Exclusive windows close — but expect delayed value until partners arrive via banners, events, or returns.

Exclusive units versus banner units

Exclusives often come from Battlepass Tier 50, limited events, or special shops. They are time-gated more than pity-gated. Wrath (Assault) is the current poster Exclusive: free track base unit, premium shiny, Cosmetic Pass skin, Tier 25 A Beast Plays memoria.

Banner units consume gems and event currencies. Use Gem Farming before you empty the balance on a shiny vanity pull. Check whether a unit is returning (Classic Return style banners have featured Rogita and Divalo) before you panic.

Familiars and memoria as part of the “unit”

Modern kits are not only the unit card. Vanguard Familiars from the Wrath Event shop (1,000 Wrath Coins each) rewrite specific units. Memoria pieces like A Beast Plays are required homework for Exclusives. When we say a unit is S-tier, we often assume reasonable memoria and the correct familiar if one exists. Budget rankings on the tier list pages call out when that assumption fails.

Starter reading path for roster nerds

  1. Skim Getting Started if your lobby literacy is low.
  2. Open Wrath (Assault) even if you have not unlocked it — know the goal.
  3. Plan partners on Evils Teams.
  4. Cross-check value on Support Units and DPS Units.
  5. Schedule XP with How to Get Wrath (Assault).
  6. Keep Codes and Tools handy for daily loops.

What this hub is not

This is not a complete database of every unit ever released. Anime Vanguards ships content quickly. We prioritize units that change the season meta, especially Wrath and Evils enablement, then expand outward. For live patch chatter, use the official Discord linked from Links.

Contribution mindset (for readers)

When you test a unit, write down placement cost, wave timings, and whether a passive needed a partner. Screenshots without wave numbers create bad wiki advice. The best roster notes are boring and specific.

Explore the child pages next, then return here when a new Exclusive drops and you need a clean template for evaluating it. Units win matches; understanding units wins seasons.
